A Love of Vintage
My love of vintage things began when my grandmother would let me play with her jewelry whenever I went to visit. I loved digging through the shiny rhinestones and asking her questions about each piece. She would always let me leave with at least one pearl necklace or a shiny brooch.
From that moment on, yard sales were a favorite place to get vintage gloves, hats, and other fun things that I didn't really need but truly enjoyed. One of my first purchased vintage items was an unsigned flower brooch (shown). It continues to be one of my favorite vintage brooches to this day.
The Joy in Searching
There's something about the feel of antique and vintage items... like every piece has a story to tell. I love to search through piles of junk and find something with that amazing vintage feel. At yard sales, rummage sales and even in online purchases I will often ask if there is a story that goes with the piece. The history of vintage and estate jewelry often adds to it's beauty.
A Commitment to Quality
By definition "Vintage Jewelry" IS used jewelry. Oftentimes it will show signs of wear or have slight imperfections that can add to the charm of each piece. However, you can be assured that from the high end to the unsigned costume jewelry, I check each piece thoroughly looking for defects. When possible, items are thoroughly and gently cleaned. If there are defects but I still feel like the piece is worth selling it will be clearly noted in the description.
